Income Diversification: Dairy, fisheries, millets, Agri-tourism—beyond crop dependency.
Foodgrains: UP contributes ~18–20% of India’s output, leading in wheat, rice, maize, gram, and pulses.
Milk: India’s largest producer, with over 16% share.
Sugarcane: Among the top producers nationwide with 47.62% share.
Vegetables & Fruits: India’s largest vegetable producer; major hub for mango (Unnao, Lucknow) and amla (Prayagraj, Pratapgarh).
Potatoes: No. 1 in India, contributing 40%+ of total production.
